Vita

Donald Vaccino transfers his alert gaze, with which he perceives the environment, with a light and casual painterly gesture in oil paint onto the canvas. There, the light of the evening casts a filigree play of shadows on the wall or makes the folds of a shirt thrown away glow - rarely can we experience the world around us in such colourful clarity!

Colour and space are the artist's main themes. He explores these in his compositions by combining blended and pure zones of colour, as well as geometric and gestural sections. In doing so, he is inspired by David Hockney and Henri Matisse. The artist shows his work in American, European and Japanese galleries as well as at international art fairs.
