Vita

In his works, Marc Taschowsky takes us on a journey into his brightly coloured and complex visual world, in which Kermit the Frog, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Ironman play the leading roles. In the tradition of Dadaism and Pop Art, different visual worlds of past and present pop cultures are superimposed. Once the viewer's gaze has entered one of these worlds, it is catapulted by a disruptive factor into the next one. But these disruptive factors are not only of contentual but also of painterly nature: sometimes Taschowsky leaves the oil paint to run naturally across the composition, sometimes he defines it finely or spatulas it thickly onto the surface. In this play of colour and influences from the omnipresent media world, Taschowsky creates his own pictorial reality in which only his rules apply. He shows his work in galleries and art associations throughout Germany.
