Miquel Wert

Miquel Wert is a Spanish-Swedish painter who, after working in Tunisia and France, currently lives and works in Barcelona. His works are inspired by photographs from the 1950s, from once very personal family albums that he now finds on his travels and at flea markets in Barcelona. In his art, Miquel Wert explores the depth of melancholic memories and thus questions our own culture of memory. Miquel Wert's works are in numerous international private and public collections.
